Interview featured on New Dimensions Radio

See this link on New Dimensions Radio: Natural Motion of the Soul with Celeste Yacoboni Program notes: Product Description Prayer is our most universal and yet also individual way of communicating with the divine and connecting with the infinite dimensions of our being. We each have our own way of prayer and praise, of speaking to the sacred mystery. Some of us feel a very personal relationship with God and others feel God as a more universal energy not to be personified. Yacoboni has been on a spiritual search most of her life. She grew up Catholic and her spiritual search has gone through many incarnations. Yacoboni shares that Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi reminded her, “’Don’t throw those saints and guides and guardian angels out with that institution, with that religion you walked out of. They are part of you and they will always be there for you.’ It wasn’t long after it that I had a great challenge in my life and I found myself saying Hail Marys.” Allow yourself to be inspired by the various ways others practice prayer: prayer as deep listening, a creative state, even the freeing of a whale caught up in fishing lines. Hopefully our whole life is a prayer. (hosted by Justine Willis Toms) Bio Celeste Yacoboni is an ordained Minister of Walking Prayer and is a spiritual coach. She is the editor of: How Do You Pray?: Inspiring Responses from Religious Leaders, Spiritual Guides, Healers, Activists and Other Lovers of Humanity (Monkfish Publishing 2014) To learn more about the work of Celeste Yacoboni go to www.howdoyoupray.com. Article in Awareness Magazine

Be sure to check out Celeste Yacoboni’s article “How Do You Pray?” in the November/December issue of Awareness: Southern California’s Guide to Conscious Living. Here is the magazine cover: And here is her article (click here and go to Page 14) How Do You Pray? Inspiring Responses from Religious Leaders, Spiritual Guides, Healers, Activists & Other Lovers of Humanity. About the book: As we evolve, so do our prayers; as our prayers evolve, so do we. This is the evolution of illumination, the collective voice of the soul of the world. How Do You Pray? was born from a vision in which Celeste Yacoboni was told to ask the world, “How Do You Pray?” She reached out to leading spiritual, shamanic, scientific teachers, guides, and activists and asked for their response. Culled from those responses is an original and deeply personal collection of essays. Talking intimately and candidly about how they pray, these personalities encourage the reader to contemplate the intention of prayer in their own life. This collection speaks to the reader’s heart and asks What is your soul’s expression? How do you dance in ecstasy, bare your soul to the divine? Bow in gratitude? Merge with nature? Cry out for guidance? How do you pray? This groundbreaking and moving book gathers responses from leaders of diverse spiritual and religious traditions ranging from Buddhism to Islam to Christianity, as well as those who do not claim one or any particular walk of faith. Contributors include Brother David Steindl-Rast, Matthew Fox, James O’Dea, Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee, Tessa Bielecki, Lama Surya Das, Hank Wesselman, Father Bede Griffiths, Byron Katie, Joan Halifax,...

A Heartfelt Letter

Dear Celeste, Thank YOU! When I received your book during this last summer’s war (I live in Northern Israel), I felt submerged as never before under waves of hopelessness – for this country and Palestine, & for the world actually. The spiritual and psychological tools and practices which have served me for decades, and always direct me to the calm. happy, peaceful space inside, weren’t preventing the utter hopelessness into which I woke up every morning. And then came your book, a gift from heaven, asking me, the exact right question: “How Do You Pray”? Long story short, the hopelessness is gone, evaporated, and replaced by possibility for redemption, reconciliation, reformation. Though the external national circumstances haven’t changed yet, external proof isn’t here yet, the internal is choosing to embrace the possibility for a liberating change, mutually, collectively. Your book provides me with a doorway to walk through, and when I did, I found all these illuminating people, sitting with each other, and with me, sharing their response to the question “How Do You Pray?” In a matter of days of reading/ingesting this book , I relaxed enough to see the bigger picture, to envision a much brighter future. I’m seeing the “How Do You Pray?” book on many millions of bedsides, throughout the world. It’s the perfect book to read before sleep & dream time. And during both rough times and great times, equally. Someone once asked the scribe of the Course in Miracles : If she could describe the message of the Course in one word, what would it be? Her response was: “relax”. Same could be...

Book Review on Amazon

Excellent book review on Amazon: Most Helpful Customer Reviews By C. Dombrovske on August 30, 2014 Format: Paperback Verified Purchase What a beautiful book! It can be read and used in so many ways — either cover-to-cover in one grand sweep, sequentially one entry at a time, picking through the table of contents for an author or a title that piques your interest, or opening it at random for whatever gem it drops in your lap. You could use it for daily inspiration, for wisdom and encouragement when you need it most, or a sort of course in prayer. It expands your definition of prayer, and encourages a realization that, while special times or circumstances can certainly be conducive to a rich prayer life, still, a truly engaged life can also become a prayer. I think I’ll be using this book for a long time. Thank you, Celeste — this is a most valuable work you’ve done here. Click here to view in full on...
